about

The Holy Orders announce the release of their brand new single, the 3 minute feel good summer pop song: The New Asbestos. Well, a cynical, pessimistic, feel good summer pop song but anyone who is already familiar with last year’s debut album – For the Ears of Dogs to Come – will expect nothing less. It captures how the band effortlessly combines catchy melody lines with visceral guitars and passionate vocals to create a glorious noise.

lyrics

The sun comes up and burns your skin, It makes you look cool, So smooth Not like the tannins in your cheap red wine, Oh how uncouth.

We've been drinking the new asbestos It burns your insides out and takes your clothes off.

And that cigarette, it tastes so good, And makes you look cool. But please don't over analyse it all, You'd be such a fool.

We've been thinking the new asbestos. It burns your insides out and takes your clothes off

Oh the stinking. The new asbestos. It burns you inside out. So take your clothes off.

The Holy Orders were first told that their amps were too loud in 2006.
Since then, the four-piece from Hull have divided the opinions of many sound engineers.

The Holy Orders continue to be loud.
